Fill Your Life With Happiness

It’s only been a week since I’ve begun to blog so I’m not an expert on this. However, I have dabbled before in journaling all my life. Whether it was writing in a spiral notebook, creating a scrapbook of photos with captions, and at one point, updating my Live Journal (that I kept private, mind you). Hmmm…I wonder if I can figure out my log in info? What I wanted to come out and say as I put off reading my economics book right now is be fearless when it comes to doing something that will make you happy. Don’t let the fear of not being good enough stop you from doing something that will only enrich your life . For me personally, I don’t consider myself an artsy person. But I’ve always felt to be a part of this “blog” world I had to be artsy. Taking photographs isn’t natural for me, I have to read and watch a lot of YouTube to help me better understand things and improve my techniques. Writing a blog or writing in general isn’t a natural thing for me, but when I finally started to write my blog I did it because I knew it was something that would excite me. Being excited about what you do is a good thing!

Guys, I’ve only published 3 posts, prior to this one, and I swear as I type each word I can’t help but smile. Even my husband has enjoyed watching this new passion of mine evolve right in front of his eyes.

I’ve also always felt that you can’t possibly work a “9-5” job AND be creative. Which is silly to think. I know plenty of people who are successful in the business world, but are highly creative.

I feel really fortunate to be able to take part in my current career, continue school and work towards other goals, while being able to set aside time to write here. But in the end, who really knows what I’ll be doing in the future, I have ideas, but you just never know. I’m excited to find out 🙂

The past 10 years I’ve done a lot of reading of blogs and watched a lot of YouTube by people who interest/inspire me. But there is nothing in this world that motivated me more than my daughter. Seriously, she pushes me to do better, be better, and overall be happy. I want to be her role model one day. I want her to see that you do not need to have life fully figured out right away, but you do need to put in 100% into whatever you choose to do. Especially if you want to be successful and in turn (hopefully) inspire others. Above all, you need to do what fills you with happiness and I think with that the passion will begin.

Of course this doesn’t mean that you need to have a child to push you to the next level, but for me that was it.

Anyhow, I know this post is random, casual, kind of everywhere, and maybe premature, but I saw a couple of YouTube videos that pushed me to just write a bit about why I finally took the leap to fill my life with more things that make me happy.

Here’s the video I just finished watching

Fro knows Photo, if anyone has ever watched him, this is a very calm version of him haha. But I loved his message and it couldn’t have been posted at a more appropriate time for me. It’s short, sweet, straight to the point.

I also, wanted to share another very positive and inspiring YouTuber I love to watch;

RayaWasHere: “Don’t know what to do with your life?”

This is another really great video of her just going over about how important it is to do what makes you happy. There’s no rush in finding what your passionate about, it’ll happen and you’ll find it in your life and through experiences.

Lastly, here’s one more video “Stop searching for your passion” that I absolutely loved. She gives such a powerful message about not searching for your passion, but instead just being passionate in the moment. If you focus on searching for it, then you can miss out on great opportunities. At least that is what I am taking from it.

I’m in no way trying to be a life coach right now, I just think it’s good to share why you decide to take on something new because it can help motivate someone else to do the same (Shout out to DarleneeMariee someone I actually know in life that inspired me).

I hope you all enjoyed this! Feel free to share your thoughts and what excites you right now in the comments below!

  1. You have such a way with words! I can’t say enough how happy I am for you!

It sounds silly but oddly enough my breakup pushed me to start my YouTube channel. But creating a channel was always a passion of mine since I first got into makeup in my sophomore year of high school. I never had the courage to actually do it. I was at a very very low point a couple of months into my breakup and I woke up one morning and just filmed my first video. I didn’t give it a thought. Woke up got ready and spoke to my camera. I needed a distraction and something positive in my life. I’m so happy I finally did this because it’s so something I truly love to do.

I’m so happy I got to be a part of this journey of yours! Can’t wait to read more.

    1. Thank you, Darlene!

It warms my heart to see that you used such a rough moment in life to pull something so beautiful out of you.

I feel that way about the blog. I’ve had ideas of how I should or ideally would’ve wanted to start it, but I like you, just woke up one morning and was like “enough is enough, I want to do this so I will do it.” It’s a wonderful feeling when you finally stop doubting your such (at least not as much) and go for it.

I hope you continue to have success in this for as long as you wish to continue your journey! 💕
